Passionate and qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor (MSc degree level) with three years of post-qualified experience, specialising in supporting children's and teenagers' mental and emotional well-being. A dedicated School Mental Health Practitioner currently working with an MHST (Mental Health Support Team), providing evidence-based counselling and employing cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) techniques. Registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), in the process of obtaining Individual Accreditation in early 2024. Experienced in delivering face-to-face, online, and telephone counselling sessions to infant, primary and secondary pupils (5 to 18-year-olds) within the MHST framework. Skilled in collaborating with schools, families, and safeguarding teams to ensure holistic support. Proven ability to manage caseloads, create rosters, and conduct psychoeducational workshops for students, staff, and parents. Bringing a wealth of expertise in therapy work and a successful track record, I am enthusiastic about contributing to the well-being of students in a School Counsellor role, with a keen interest in opportunities in the UAE, particularly Dubai.
