I am a Senior Commercial lawyer, trained at a top 30 law firm; I have just completed nearly 5 years as first in house counsel for ShipServ Limited; a leading marine online platform and marketplace with offices in 6 countries. Drafting reviewing and updating wide-ranging commercial contracts, standard Terms and Conditions and policies Liaising with business to provide proactive commercial legal support to help them achieve their goals and business plans on time Working mainly unsupervised but with a close working relationship to Procurement and Sales teams Managing and resolving any potential conflicts with clients, partners, or suppliers At ShipServ - a leading marine online collaboration network for the blue economy; with 52k supplier network and annual value of $4billion dollars trade, my responsibilities included: Advising globally - London, Copenhagen, Hong Kong, Singapore, Manilla, Greece and US on legal, risk and compliance issues Negotiating all commercial contracts with buyers, suppliers and partners Data Protection issues including being appointed as Data Protection Officer ensuring full compliance with all data aspects of contracts and services Significant M&A experience, and VDR and Due Diligence expertise For over a decade, prior to ShipServ I set up and ran my own successful commercial law practice in Holborn.
