About Sally C.

I’m Sally Canario, and my passion lies in empowering others with the tools of operational excellence, and I’ve spent over two decades leading transformative initiatives across global supply chains. I teach at USC Marshall School of Business, where I certify executives, graduate students, engineers, and professionals in supply chain, healthcare and services through Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt programs. I’ve held leadership roles at Target, Amazon, and Northrop Grumman, Maersk, where I led engineering teams, drove continuous improvement, and spearheaded digital transformation across 3PL, retail, aerospace, and e-commerce sectors. My background blends process engineering, finance, data analytics, and operations—allowing me to identify improvement opportunities and implement data-driven solutions that reduce costs, increase efficiency, improve quality, and unlock revenue. I’ve designed and implemented automated warehouse solutions across inbound and outbound operations, including cross-dock, e-commerce pick-and-pack, cold storage, and more. I’m fluent in WMS, TMS, YMS, and ERP systems, and I’ve built and deployed global strategies and 3–5-year roadmaps that scale infrastructure and standardize processes across continents. Financially, I managed CAPEX/OPEX governance and convert analytics into ROI-backed business cases that drive cost, capacity, service, and safety improvements. I’ve led RFP’s, contract negotiations, vendor management, and P&L oversight. In the 3PL space, I specialize in customer solution design, SLA/SOW alignment, Voice of the Customer, and experimental design to drive growth and profitability. As a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and board member of USC’s Global Supply Chain Management program, I’m committed to developing high-performing teams and fostering cultures of continuous improvement.
