About Sally Cunningham

I am a writer and instructional designer originally from BC and now based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. My work is rooted in passion for language, student-centric learning, and intentional design. Educational Design and Online Learning: I have extensive experience as an E-Learning Instructional Designer, Educational Media Developer, and Learning Management System (LMS) Assistant through my work at Selkirk College and the Bishop’s University Online Learning and Technology Consultant (OLTC) Program. I specialize in leveraging technology to enhance educational experiences and ultimately to create both dynamic and effective learning experiences. Writing: I hold a Master’s of English from Memorial University and a BA in English literature from Bishop’s University. My short fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction can be found in Riddle Fence, Yolk Literary, Paragon Press, Soliloquies Anthology, Accenti Magazine, and Milkbag Mag. My play, PIANOLAND, was part of the 2025 Women’s Work Festival in St. John’s, NL, and I am a graduate of the Poverty Cove Playwright’s Unit. In 2025, I was a Sundress Academy for the Arts (SAFTA) writing resident at Firefly Farms. My writing often gravitates towards ideas of home, identity, and belonging, specifically within a Canadian landscape.
