About Sally Dear

As the Founder and CEO of Ducky Zebra, I lead a mission-driven childrenswear brand that inspires kindness and confidence in children, regardless of gender, through colourful, sustainable clothing. Since launching in late 2021, I’ve grown the business year on year, overseeing: Garment design and production with a strong focus on sustainable and ethical manufacturing, using GOTS-certified organic cotton. B2C and B2B marketing, including managing trade show exhibitions, marketing, and communication to expand our wholesale partnerships. Circular fashion initiatives: I’ve forged partnerships with thelittleloop to enable a take-back scheme and collaborate with Borro to offer a clothing rental service—helping extend the lifecycle of our garments and reduce waste. Full-scale marketing management, covering PR, social media, website, CRM, SEO, events, and merchandising. Brand collaborations, including a licensing agreement with the Roald Dahl Story Company, resulting in two exclusive Roald Dahl x Ducky Zebra prints, as part of our ‘Celebration of Reading’ Collection - aimed at encouraging a love of reading among all children. Beyond Ducky Zebra, I’m a passionate advocate for sustainable fashion and gender equality. I regularly deliver talks and presentations to raise awareness of the harmful impact of gender stereotypes in early years, promoting a more inclusive future for all children. In addition, I share my marketing expertise as an Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, teaching marketing modules within the Business and Publishing Departments.
