About Sally Hart

Sally Hart is a designer who likes big empty spaces, small efficient objects and things lined up neatly in rows. I work within research and design across a number of creative industries, with a particular interest in image making, urban theory and cross disciplinary projects. I'm currently engaged as Chief Operating Officer and Creative Director at Picfair, and am responsible for the planning, implementation and management of new features and special projects. I have broad experience within architecture practice, from conceptual design through to documentation of large scale commercial projects, however my primary interest is in interdisciplinary urban research. My visual work has been commissioned by private clients and exhibited within a gallery context, and I’ve worked in a curatorial role with diverse artists and exhibitions. In addition to my personal work, I was a founding member of Gasket, a collective focused on the role critical photography could play in understanding the urban condition. Through my engagement with academic institutions, I've tutored in architectural theory, presented work exploring the links between art and sociological method, and assisted on a Public Engagement Fellowship with local communities. In 2014 I completed my Masters at Goldsmiths College in Photography and Urban Cultures, focusing on the role visual representation plays in urban planning, and how our urban environments might develop in the future.
