I am a passionate educator with a proven ability to develop engaging lesson plans and presentations, to communicate in English and Spanish with diverse audiences, and organize and manage a variety of classes, club events and part-time jobs concurrently. Dedicated high school Spanish teacher with a passion for language, culture, and student success. With 14 years of experience teaching a variety of classes, Spanish levels I through IV, I strive to create an immersive and engaging classroom environment where students not only learn the language but also gain an appreciation for the rich diversity of the Spanish-speaking world. I specialize in creating engaging lesson plans, improving and developing curriculum, and supporting students' academic and personal growth. I collaborate with other faculty on a regular basis to ensure student success and to promote an enriching and well-rounded school experience. My goal every day is not just to help my students' improve their skills in my classroom but also to create a positive environment where both students and faculty can thrive. Beyond the classroom I served as the moderator of the Student Government Association, where for 10 years I helped students develop leadership skills and a strong sense of school community. I coordinated and hosted various school wide events - including the yearly school festival, semi-formal dance, Spirit Week, the annual awards ceremony - bringing energy, creativity, and careful planning to each initiative. I managed a variety of committees and projects concurrently. In addition to education, throughout my teaching career, I have proven my ability to work efficiently and effectively as a team player to deliver excellent customer service skills in several part-time retail positions. No matter the location or type of job, I'm committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for students, clients and other coworkers, and I bring passion and purpose to every part of my work. Masters of Education in Languages (M.Ed.) from College of Charleston Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Secondary Education and Teaching, summa cum laude, from Clemson University Honors College.
