I started my career in healthcare at the age of 19, becoming a Direct Support Professional in a group home for individuals with developmental disabilities - and after 5 years decided to continue on with Nursing. I became an LPN, and started working in a nursing home and rehab. Then decided to go back to school and became an RN, and started working on a medical surgical floor. I’ve had a lot of experience in all areas, from group homes to home health care, to a nursing home/rehab center and finally currently in acute care. I am very motivated and very driven, yet I also very much respect work life balance and enjoy living my home life to its fullest as well. Balance at home makes a better RN at work, and it is much easier to pour from a full cup.
