About Sally Stumbo

My background as a Technical Support Engineer has given me a deep understanding of the customer's needs, resulting in a strategic, thoughtful approach to Technical Writing. In my 10+ years at tech startups, whether I was a support engineer or a writer, I've always had an active role in contributing customer-facing technical content. I have 8 years of experience delivering content in the cybersecurity field. At Panther, I transformed our existing user-facing documentation and developed a collaborative publication process for weekly and bi-weekly product release cycles, in addition to introducing and running a Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) program and maintaining a public Knowledge Base. I believe that Technical Writing is not just about the content itself, but it's also about advocating for the customer experience and collaborating closely with Product & Engineering teams to influence product direction. Outside of work: I enjoy spending time with my family, playing guitar, singing, and I am passionate about advocating for autistic children in the school environment. I also can't help myself and keep finding new hobbies: Making cake pops, sewing, and vinyl crafting.
