About Sally Vinden
As an Associate Dean at Vancouver Island University, I oversee the strategic design and delivery of trades and applied technology programs, with a focus on enhancing teaching and learning outcomes, fostering faculty development, and promoting open educational practices. I have over 20 years of experience in adult education, instructional design, curriculum development, and project management, both in BC and internationally.I hold a Ph.D. in Educational Philosophy/Curriculum Studies from Simon Fraser University, where I investigated how TVET instructors can prepare students for the future through pedagogical decisions that reflect social constructivism, digital literacy, and OER.
