About Sally Weekley

I have spent 20+ years in higher education, designing courses and teaching subjects all the way from exploring the nature of the brain and behavior and how we go about studying the human 'mind', to the process of testing scientific hypotheses via statistics, to examining the heart-wrenching ethical dilemmas we face in the choices that confront us all. It's quite a range. But they overlap more than you might think, and it is an incredibly rewarding way to spend one's time.I was trained in both academics and the fine arts throughout my life, and it has all blended together to form the base from which I draw what I need for my work. I value all that I have been fortunate to have gained in terms of life experience. Now my goal is to continue to explore all of these ideas and the connections between them, passing along not only what I have learned, but also what I learn from my students as I have always done. Now, however, I look forward to moving beyond the confines of the classroom to reach a larger audience through both writing and online teaching. I feel there is a critical role for both to play. Books are still a joy, and will always be irreplaceable in our culture, but I can also use my skills and years of experience in online curriculum development to bring the classroom to the many students for whom 'conventional' college is no longer an option.
