About Saloni Singh

In a fairly exciting career, i've worked across industries (Finance, FMCG, Advertising, Tech), for myself (Startup founder) and young startups (took Ematic Solutions from seed funding to Series A), for mid and large enterprises (Unilever, Lowe Lintas, LinkedIn, AMEX, AWS, Microsoft) across roles (IC, people manager, IC leader, Org leader, GM). Through it all my single minded motivation has been making my customers and my people (team members, leaders, peers, cross-functional partners) successful. I believe in - Balancing running a successful business and finding the joy in what we do at work. I've enjoyed every single job i've had and jump out of bed every morning - pumped- Change is the only constant - learn learn learn: I am nerd who believes that chase excellence and results will always follow- Sponsorship and mentorship : I would not be where i am if i hadn't met iconic people along the way who coached me, unblocked my path, created new opportunities and took a chance on me. I now like to pay it forward every chance i get- Allyship : Ally is such a beautiful word. It comes to life in all our business interactions. Shows up in a collaborative mindset in a cross-functional engagement, in owning our customer's goals (and worries) as our own, in caring deeply about our employee's professional and personal journeys and acting as an owner in every company we are a part of. Let's all be allies- Human-first leadership : I believe in being unapologetically authentic in every interaction - professional and personal. My leadership style is a mix of being confident about my capabilities along with being open and vulnerable about my gaps- D&I : I've had the privilege of working in extremely diverse environments and it's opened up my heart and mind to the need for diversity and inclusion. My personal lived experience has been one where i always end up in an under-represented group (gender, immigration status, birth place, education, age.the list is endless). I've been excluded and discriminated against AND i've seen and learnt from leaders who have created psychological safety allowing me to flourish as i am. I'm whole heartedly committed to creating a safe place for everyone both in my personal and professional life- Giving back : Pro bono work has been a part of my life and is source of limitless joy. The worst glass ceilings are the one we create for ourselves. Believe in yourself and find your path. Get inspired by others but compete only with yourself! Let's all make this world a better place!
