About Salvatore Rizza

I'm a passionate scientist driven by redox biology and cell metabolism. The main interest of my research is nitric oxide (NO) signaling in health and disease. My professional goal is to solve biological problems related to human diseases using innovative and creative approaches leveraging on the most updated technology. I have extensive experience in conducting and managing research projects, with strong expertise in high-throughput microscopy, cell metabolism, biochemistry, organoids and primary cell cultures, gene transcription and mouse models. I am passionate about science communication, engaging with lay audiences, students, and international professionals. I have significant experience in writing and evaluating scientific papers and projects, administering research funds, training personnel and teach at all academic levels.
