Background
About Sam Alipour
I’m an LA-based storyteller, writer, host and broadcast journalist with over 20 years of experience in journalism, sports, and entertainment and a knack for creating unique content that cuts through to reach a wide audience. During my 16 years at ESPN, where I rose from columnist and Sr. Writer to Sr. Correspondent and Host of "Hang Time with Sam Alipour", I used a variety of tools and screens to tell impactful stories - spanning sports, entertainment, lifestyle, culture, and enterprise/investigations - with broad appeal that entertained and informed our audience while helping to expand our reach beyond the traditional sports fan. Today I continue to churn out memorable, needle-moving content at NBCUniversal. Prior to reinventing myself as a journalist and content creator, I worked in scripted film & TV for some of my favorite filmmakers.
