About Sam Amin

As a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Environmental Science, I am eager to apply my strong educational background to a career in environmental sustainability. I am committed to maintaining quality standards through safe work practices and procedures, and I am skilled in using ArcGIS, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite. I am also certified in a variety of technical abilities, including lift truck training, confined space entry, and working at heights. I have gained valuable experience through my roles at Ontario Power Generation, where I have performed log operations, conducted monthly inspections on dams, modernized survey maps, and provided clerical support. In my previous position as Lead Administrative Assistant at Kumon Math & Reading Centre, I coordinated and trained staff, developed lesson plans, and managed a CMS database. As Arts and Program Manager at the Markham Arts Council, I co-ordinated fundraising events, initiated and secured a waste management project, and followed financial filing procedures. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and boating. I am using my skills and experiences to make a positive impact in the environmental sector.
