About Sam Barbour Pringle Eia

I provide coaching and coaching supervision but let me share a little about how I got here if you are going to connect with me: I started my career as a science graduate which is why I am keen to support other women in Science. My first role was in the Pharmaceutical Industry where I had access to world class personal development. It was a highly competitive working environment, & a lot of fun - I flourish when I am being stretched & I'm aware I can stretch myself too far! After the birth of my first child in 2007 I realised what was important to me had changed. I received coaching with Lisa Wake & Jane Stubberfield to realign my values with my Being & Doing. I set up my own coaching business for those going through career & life transitions personally understanding the benefits of coaching at these pivotal life stages. My first contracts were with @EquateScotland & The University of Edinburgh. I now regularly work in academia and I'm actively involved in life-long learning for myself and my clients. Between 2011 & 2014 a number of significant life events happened. The passing of my parents & brother, supervision & training with Louie Gardiner at Potent 6, the completion of my Masters in Coaching and meeting David Drysdale from Fathers Network Scotland. I now realise that all these events and people created opportunities and consequences of which I found overwhelming at times. By accessing resources I was able to support others including parents & carers with My Family Care, Chair the Fathers Network board and later became their CEO. I had no idea at the time these opportunities would arise at a time when I was experiecing grief & sadness. I could not have anticipated that I would even want to take these opportunities let alone be able to. Which is why I work with others who experiencing life transitions or collisions with a lot of emotions to make sense of! At times like these I get outdoors which I have now combined that with my childhood passion - horse riding. This is part of my well-being practice along-side meditation which I also provide to the public. Everything I do is neuro-inclusive including my approach Presence in Action, because I have learnt to adapt my life and to become better informed about my differences and those of my family and my clients. I'm currently writing a management book on this topic of neuroinclusion to encourage awareness and reflection of such differences. I work through a social enterprise Presence in Action Collective which I cofounded, so that all these resources are available to everyone.
