About Sam Bartels

As a senior at Nouvel Catholic Central High School looking back on my high school career, I can say I've done my best to be very active in my community. I have done this by participating in sports like baseball and football, being a part of other extra curricular activities, such as National Honor Society and Boy Scouts of America, and volunteering at my local church and Mustard Seed Homeless Shelter. The thing that I am most proud of would be obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America. Working towards this rank taught me how to be a good leader, how to survive in the wilderness, people skills, and how to accomplish challenging goals. Some of my other achievements include Bishop's Honor Roll every year of high school and All- Conference linebacker this year for my football performance. I know that this is just the start of what I can accomplish in my life. After I graduate from college with my bachelor's degree in general business or business management, my next goal would be to find stable employment. I could envision myself working for a small local business in Saginaw. While I'm in college, I will network with local businesses, which will in turn help me work up the ladder in a company or build my own business in the Saginaw area. As a business leader, I want then be able to give back to the community and help those in most need. This is why I want to go into the field of business: to help meet the needs of my local Saginaw community.
