About Sam Batchelder
I have been teaching capoeira since 2006 and have taught extensively in schools and youth programs throughout the Bay Area. In 2015 I was graduated to the level of Capoeira Professor. I have been program director of Capoeira Mandinga Alameda since 2007. The practice of Capoeira has allowed me to witness the artform's transformative impact on my student's lives and in my own personal life. As a Capoeira instructor I have the opportunity to share this experience with new communities of young people and to teach life skills that help build self confidence, inspire creativity help to create positive outcomes in their personal lives.
