About Sam Beman

I'm an entertainer, who specializes in changing my voice. This has helped me as an actor, comedian and deejay, as I use many different voices in all areas of entertainment. I love doing impersonations, but enjoy creating new characters even more! Especially with acting projects, whether they be voice over, plays or on-camera jobs. My professional career began over 20 years ago, when I first hit the stage at the state theater of Georgia, the Springer Opera House. It was there where I'd learned to hone in my skills as a voice talent, to create and develop new characters through numerous stage productions. From there my interest was peaked in writing and singing, then shifted into comedy and improv. Most people don't know this, but upon graduating high school I worked for a small newspaper as a production assistant, then went on to become the graphics design editor of the paper. And from there an art director at Target Market Advertising in Columbus, Ga. That was where I'd worked for fifteen years, performing on the side. In 2012 my job was cut due to the recession, so I decided to try video editing at Columbus Tape and Video. The experience was great, but my health was declining, which prevented me from continuing my duties. I'm a cancer survivor. In April of 2015 I was diagnoses with Hodgkin's Disease Lymphoma. It was prayer, friends, family and God that got me through my battle. I'm currently in remission. If a church or company wanted to hire me to do improv/and or comedy, I'd love to entertain and share my story to encourage others if possible. When I'm not creating or entertaining, I enjoy going to thrift stores, playing video games, reading, watching movies or spending quality time with my family. I've held many prestigious titles over the years, but none can compare to being called dad. Some of my other endeavors included: talk show producer/TV host of Light Talk, The Grinch, and events coordinator for The Bridge Christian night club.
