Over the past 20 years Sam has designed, developed and supported web applications and services using Microsoft and many other technology stacks. He has advanced experience with the.Net web frameworks from ASP through WebAPI and MS SQL Server databases, but is always looking for new solutions and loves to play with cutting edge tools. He enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors, but has a strong passion for gaming and has always aspired to create a video game. At Affinitiv Sam helped maintain a diverse set of CRM solutions for thousands of auto dealers as a full-stack engineer. He designed databases, middle-ware and user interfaces to securely manage data and deliver notifications for car sales and services. He lead a small team of developers and ensured the timely delivery of products with minimal defects. He collaborated with other engineering and product development teams, and also with external vendors, providing data and functionality as needed. His career started at Brunner as an Interactive Developer for over 12 years. He delivered web sites and applications implemented with the latest Microsoft technologies to exceed clients' needs especially and ensured they were optimized and secure. He gained experience with online marketing and tracking, setup a custom email campaign management system, integrated custom and third-party CMS and e-commerce platforms, and developed custom software and databases accessible across a wide range of devices. His passion for coding began in 6th grade on the Apple IIe and quickly jumped into the internet-age. In high school he assisted teachers and businesses get connected to the worldwide web. While studying computer science first at the University of Pittsburgh Bradford and finishing up at IUP he continued to share his knowledge with the people around him at every opportunity. His free time revolves around an obsession with video games started in the early 90’s with the Atari 2600. He has administered web sites, servers and voice communications for small to medium sized gaming communities. He has live streamed gaming content with attention to quality and audience interaction. He also enjoys traveling and outdoors activities, especially hiking.
