About Sam Bishop

I specialise in neighbourhood community development and open-air cultural events in public space or in unique locations. I have extensive experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders such as local authorities, private landowners, events companies, promotional clients, artists and community groups. Having co-founded Street Feast, the national day of street parties and community celebrations, we expanded the organisation to cover a wide range of community projects - it's now called Neighbourhood Network. I'm also Operations Director of Another Love Story, an annual boutique festival in County Meath and a volunteer trustee of the Galway based land-trust environmental charity Green Sod Ireland. In my past roles, I was a former manager of Happenings, the Dublin based outdoor events company which produces large-scale open-air cinema, music, yoga & community events in public space. I was also honoured to be a founding member of Upstart, the arts collective that built Granby Park, the award-winning temporary park, erected in Dublin City Centre in 2013.
