About Sam Budden

Coaching high performance gymnastics. Preparing and organising boys so they are ready for national and regional level competitions, producing champions at all levels. Communicating effectively with parents and gymnasts so that gymnasts can be mentored correctly. Promoting sportsmanship and a good rapport with all gymnasts, so that there is an open environment where gymnasts can relay important information to me or any of my assistant coaches. Planning fun, engaging lessons whilst bringing 15+ years of gymnastics knowledge in to practise to create the best possible environment for gymnasts to reach their maximum potential. Alongside coaching high performance gymnastics, I also coach recreational gymnastics. Coaching and leading groups of children from the age of 2 at pre school level to 18 year olds learning free running. I will adapt my teaching style at each age group to ensure all classes have the best style of coaching to meet the needs of the participants. Outside of Coaching within a gymnastics centre. I also take my expertise to schools, where I have coached in many schools in Portsmouth at primary years, managing groups of 30+ students, making sure all students are prepared to take part in the Hampshire school sport gymnastics competition. Creating imaginative and unique lessons so that there is a better learning experience for the young students whilst maintaining a safe and disciplined environment.
