About Sam Chamberlain

Sam is a community-driven social worker with a background in program design, management, capacity building, systems design, and operations. Sam works to layer social work principles with nonprofit operations and leadership in support of growth and sustainability. Sam is driven by the belief that the populations served are at the center of the work and should have a voice in the process. Sam currently works with adults experiencing homelessness through low-barrier shelter systems and intentional client-driven case management. Sam holds expertise in COVID-19 community response program design and implementation. During the pandemic, Sam oversaw and operated multiple federally funded COVID-19 community response programs targeted at supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. This included a rapid community case management program, hotel-based wellness and quarantine shelters, and the deployment and coordination of community testing and vaccination resources. Sam has experience in nonprofit operations, organizational finance (including budgeting, fiscal management, AP/AR), program design, facilitation, crisis intervention, client-driven housing, homeless shelter program management, technology implementation, graphic design, web development, evaluation, and program planning.
