About Sam Cherian

Currently am engaged in process engineering activities on a mining site where am responsible for stock reporting, stock management as per quality, and initiating improvements on both production & operations. I've updated myself on Power BI modeling during this time and learned about the business aspects of how Demand meets Supply. I've also learned about the importance of clear & concise communication methods on a daily basis for stakeholder engagement. I started work as a Process Engineer in my early career days where I worked on various Projects such as Natural Gas to Methanol, Pervaporation, Kerosene to White Spirit, etc. I did Basic Engineering & Detailed Engineering of the projects partly. After that, I got promoted as Project Manager where I was in charge of a Cross-Functional Team, handling Clients, Project Costing, Vendor Negotiations, Project Scheduling, Fabrication of Process Equipment, etc. During this period, I worked on Pilot Distillation Plant (Lab Scale), Toluene Recovery, Pure Methanol Delivery, etc. Also, side by side with these Projects, I was giving lectures on ASPEN HYSYS & PLUS to professionals as well as students.
