About Sam Clements

My experience as a lecturer has taught me the value of preparation and has provided me with experience working as part of a team in a formal office environment. During this time I have organised meetings and lessons both in person and online and become familiar with the variety of software packages used by some higher educational facilities. It also served to expand upon my existing IT skills using software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Zoom and Project manager. My years working in customer service has given me extensive experience with providing efficient and friendly service in a wide variety of situations. Working through the pandemic ensured I have experience working with people in stressful situations and whilst still providing polite and efficient help. My time at university honed my work ethic, ensuring a methodical and detail oriented work flow. I currently have an honours degree in Computer Games Software Development at Glasgow Caledonian along with and HNC and HND in computer game development. I'm skilled in working with C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Furthermore, I recently took part in Tranzfuser 2021 on the enterprise pathway during which I worked as programmer working on animations, characters, special effects, audio and texture programming. I also worked as our team's social media lead, creating and editing videos in Unreal Engine to showcase our game and interacting with other developers to maximize our exposure.
