About Sam Cotton

I have been working within accountancy practices delivering VAT and bookkeeping compliance for more than 15 years since finishing college. In that time I have worked on most of the bookkeeping packages you've heard of, and a few you probably haven't! I've also dabbled in most of what small accountancy firms offer such as payroll, year-end and management accounts, bookkeeping training, software transitions, process implementation and advisory. My current role combines all of that experience to run a team that primarily delivers bookkeeping and VAT, payroll, management accounts and financial direction advice so that we can act as an outsourced finance department for our clients. In addition I am the primary contact for a large number of our clients, allowing me to help solve any issues as they arise. To me it's hugely important to help my team develop and progress themselves so that we can offer the best support for our clients that we can. I am an advocate for always looking at ways we can improve and i have a hand in our internal process implementation.
