About Sam de Greef
While other six-year-olds dreamed of becoming firefighters, princesses, or football stars, I had my sights set on something a little different: becoming an advertising creative. Odd? Maybe. But that childhood ambition stuck—and I made it real. My path took a slightly poetic detour through journalism, thinking it would shape me into a standout copywriter (spoiler alert: it didn’t go quite as planned). I doubled down with advertising studies and sharpened my creative edge during a six-month stint at Miami Ad School in Berlin. Fast forward to today: I’m a Senior Creative at Hotel L’Amour in Amsterdam, teaming up with the brilliant Sanne Lemmen. With 10 years of experience, a hefty amount of exciting campaigns, and a few agency stops—including TBWA/Neboko, Selmore, and DDB Amsterdam— I’m still just 32 and living the dream I had as a kid.
