About Sam Delagrange

If my resumé seems a bit out of the ordinary, it's because I choose my life to be extraordinary. I graduated at the UGent in 2012 as one of many masters in Communication Sciences. I gained valuable on-the-job experience during some replacements and had a first taste of social media and e-commerce in enterprises. At the Chocolaterie Guylian I had the pleasure of working for a prestigious global brand. This allowed me to work together on social media and PR strategy with different key countries while also keeping an eye on the KPI's of guylian.com. As my function grew, we developed a brand new website and launched a European webshop from scratch in the same year. Supported by expert companies, the first parcel was sent and the online shop constantly improved. I was very lucky to be involved in a very small team, which put me in the front row of key decisions and operations meetings. In the summer of 2017, my girlfriend and I did two months of volunteering as English Language teachers in Tanzania. To be able to be absent for so long I resigned from the company and choose for a life-changing experience instead. While in Tanzania, I learnt that I wanted to live happier and more care free. This is why I opted for a job where deadlines and stress were less of an issue. That's when I started working in factories as an operator. First in a top-quality feed company, and then we bought a house in Avelgem which led me to IVCgroup (now Unilin) where I had the luck and chance to become teamleader.
