About Sam Dubinski

In his current role as a facilities engineer for the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit, Sam leads the development of early-phase cost estimates for deepwater exploration prospects. Through his work, Sam has pioneered and implemented a new process safety audit for engineering contractors in order to steward better design practices and project management skills for all of Chevron's third-party engineering. Sam also has technical experience as a process engineer, where he led the effort to study the feasibility of incorporating high-pressure gas injection for secondary recovery on the Jack & St. Malo project. He also supported all Pre-FEED engineering deliverables through his work on the Buckskin Moccasin project, demonstrating the ability to work cross-functionally with all of the stakeholders involved in delivering a major capital project. Sam supports engineers on the rise through his work with college hiring and by mentoring engineers new to the company. In his free time, Sam volunteers as a coach for the Houston Helix high school ultimate frisbee program for students across the city.
