About Sam Dunaiski

Growing up on 50 wooded acres in northern Minnesota, I learned about environmental conservation at an early age. My love for the outdoors and interest in science turned me into a weather nerd at an young age. By the end of high school, these passions led me to study Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I spent nearly a decade as an operational and broadcast meteorologist, learning more about our climate and atmosphere through years of weather forecasting. This experience, along with my educational background, led me to become more concerned with global warming. After becoming a dad in 2013, I realized I could no longer stand idly by knowing that my son would experience the most dramatic effects of climate change. I decided to "fight the good fight" and changed careers to focus on renewable energy. I now promote and educate the public on renewable energy technologies, policies, and economics. I think that through the widespread implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency, we WILL save this planet.
