About Sam Elbaz

Mining Engineer. Sam has completed a Bachelor of Mining Engineering degree as well as completing my Maters Degree at Federation University, Ballarat. Sam is a dedicated and focused individual with a strong work ethic, good sense of humour and leadership skills. His main strengths are his ability to learn quickly, his determination and drive to succeed and his ability to interact wit people and communicate clearly.Sam gained first hand experience in underground mining through his time at Ballarat Gold Mine. His time there allowed him to get familiar with underground mining operations where he worked a 7/7 day and night roster, rotating between jumbo nipper, blast crew and service crew. This experience has allowed him to become competent with different underground machinery as well as familiarise him with I.T operations with crew members in the basket. Through completing his Masters degree in Mining Engineering, Sam conducted a research thesis entitled "Productivity of Kimberlite Mining using a Mechanical Clamshell Grab"​. He conducted this research for Merlin Diamond Limited who where looking to begin production on there mining lease in the Northern Territory, Australia. He also wrote and presented a technical paper at the ISC'5 international conference on geotechnical and geophysical site characteristics. Sam is very interested in the Mining sector and along with his professionalism, and willing to learn he will be a great asset to any organisation
