About Sam Farmer
As a Data Specialist with the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluations I write code to answer analytic questions, perform diagnostics on results, and test methods of analysis for public health data. I've been involved with forecasting public health outcomes, sustainable development goals, and the goalkeepers projects. Feel free to check out some of the data I’ve worked on here I graduated from the University of Washington School of Psychology in 2015. After working in psychological research helping victims of Trauma and those suffering from PTSD I found my interests drawn more towards the data we were analyzing. I taught myself Python and landed a position at the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation where I was able to further refine my skills in writing code and data analysis eventually being promoted to Data Specialist (their title for data engineer). I enjoy baking, yoga, running, and 3D printing! In my spare time I like to tinker with my 3d printer, learn more about Python and cryptography, and bake delicious treats.
