About Sam Farnell

I have worked in the financial services industry for just over 9 years. Working as an administrator for the majority of this time has provided me with a basic knowledge of the industry. I continue to help in other aspects of the business as well, predominately in our software and back-office processes and in marketing tasks. Having attained the necessary qualifications, I transitioned into the role of paraplanning prior to the start of the pandemic, having attained the necessary qualifications to advise clients. I took on a lot of the grunt work for the financial planners, including the initial research, using analytical software, and pulling everything together into a report for the adviser to review before it is forwarded to the client. As of January 2022, I am now authorised to provide my own advice, and I'm looking forward to assisting people with their finances. Before that, I took a degree in product design at Nottingham Trent University and completed a 6-month work placement in China. I have also taken part in 2 successful charity events. Completing the Mongol Rally with my brother, which involved driving an old VW Polo from London to Mongolia. As well as the Put Foot Rally, where I joined a Norwegian team driving through Africa dropping off new school shoes for children.
