About Sam Fratoni

Sam's passion is to make a difference for others, based on his years of experience, both business & personal, focused on helping them develop their God given talents and abilities and applying them individually or collectively to achieve their mission. Sam is a business executive with over 30 years of global corporate leadership with Hewlett Packard and as Corporate Vice President for IDEXX Laboratories. He holds a PhD from Purdue University and is a graduate of Wharton’s Advanced Management Program. His focused was on helping organizations apply technology to real customer needs to produce results for the company, employees, and customers. After leaving the corporate world, Sam’s has been helping smaller organizations, both commercial and non-profit, apply proven leadership, management and growth techniques to scale and achieve success. This has included Board Chair for Breakwater Learning, Board Chair and mentor for The Maine Center for Entrepreneurs, Board Chair for Envision Maine, and founding board member for Maine Outdoor Brands. He is an advisor to several companies, and executive coach for business and non-profit leaders in the community. Sam is an active angel investor with the Maine Angels, currently as Chair Emeritus and as founding member of the group’s Dirigo Angel I & II Investment Advisory Boards. He believes the key to Maine’s (and America’s) future economic growth is entrepreneurship and new startups. Sam is an Advisor and founding team member of ClimateWork Maine, where diverse businesses are coming together to reduce the impacts of climate change and to seize opportunities to grow climate-friendly businesses in a sustainable economy. Most recently Sam helped form, and is President of Nanna's House,(nannashouse.me), supporting children going into foster care and the dedicated adults who care for them.
