About Sam Gettman

I started as a high school science teacher for HISD. I have served as the team leader & department chair as well as serving on several district-level committees. While teaching, I saw the need for greater support for teachers working to integrate technology in the classroom. As a teacher, I wrote curriculum with embedded supports for ESL & SPED populations, integrated flipped and blended learning models into my classroom, and modeled technology integration for other teachers. I moved into the role of instructional technology specialist to continue supporting teachers by delivering professional development, guiding federal funds purchases directed at technology software & hardware, and coaching teachers on best practices regarding technology integration. I earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus on Educational Technology in 2018. I joined Clear Touch in 2022 as a training specialist, and look forward to each training's unique opportunities to support teachers. There's nothing I love more than helping teachers find the best tech tools to match the needs of their students.
