About Sam Griffiths

BSc (Hons) Sports Therapist, University of Gloucestershire Since being inspired by the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games to go into athletics, Sam has a wealth of experience in the sporting field. Throughout her athletics career, she has sustained injuries from muscular tears to an achilles tendinopathy and a lower limb stress fracture so understands the frustrations Sports Performers may encounter. Having competed at a National Level, she understands the importance of having a good team around you; including healthcare professionals and coaches to put together a bespoke mobility/ strength and conditioning programme to prevent reoccurrence of injury. It was during injury setbacks, that she aspired to become a Sports Therapist. The additional background knowledge of a competitive athlete has helped gym/ bootcampers, fun runners and avid sports people alike. However, she is equally competent in helping people perform everyday routines to move more with less pain. In 2016, Sam graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy. As a fully insured member of The Society of Sports Therapists, she has the ability to tailor skills, treatments and rehabilitation programmes to a large scope of patients. Previous Experience with the Tongan National Rugby Squad as part of their Rugby World Cup (2015) and Malawi as part of their Commonwealth Games (2014). Always looking for opportunities to expand knowledge and develop a career in Sports Therapy with interests in the Military as have worked with servicemen/ women in Private Practice
