About Sam Harrison

I am an experienced UK-based paramedic with a diverse background in ambulance operations, clinical leadership, event medicine, and paramedic education. After graduating in 2015 from the University of Hertfordshire, I built my career as a frontline paramedic firstly in the East of England, before transitioning to the London Ambulance Service where I have developed as a clinical leader. A significant portion of my career has been focused on event medicine, where I’ve gained valuable experience working with charities, statutory and private organisations. I am passionate about paramedic education, having contributed extensively to practice education in frontline settings and as a visiting lecturer with the University of Hertfordshire's Paramedic Science team. In addition to my clinical and educational work, I have actively engaged nationally with the profession. As a former regional representative for the College of Paramedics, I played a key role in the creation and onward coordination of the UK Student Paramedic Conference. My professional interests include clinical leadership, education and crew resource management. Beyond my professional commitments, I enjoy travelling and am a keen theatregoer, continually seeking new experiences and perspectives.
