About Sam Hockett
Currently I am working to graduate in Biomedical Engineering minoring in Physics at Harding University in May 2020. I am interested in biomechanical engineering in areas such as orthopedic devices, prostheses, gait analyses, sports biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, and mechanical modeling of the human body. The goal is to both gain experience in industry in either biomedical or mechanical applications and to work toward a PhD to pursue research and teach at the college level. I will be moving to the Temple, TX area in summer 2020 where I am applying to UT Austin's Mechanical Engineering PhD program with a specialty in biomechanical engineering. I am also applying to mechanical and biomedical engineering jobs in the Temple area, Waco, and Austin area hoping to gain experience.
