About Sam Knippers

I’ve dedicated my career to the brewing industry with some of the largest manufacturers and am a passionate process engineer, production manager, and member of the industry. I’ve spent my career optimizing brewing efficiency and quality in large-scale operations, and bringing new technologies to our process through a combination of leadership, technical project work, and people development—leveraging industry knowledge and my educational background as a Master Brewer. I’m a competition judge with the Brewers Association, participating annually in Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup panels, and am a believer in sensory-driven success. In my roles with Anheuser-Busch and Molson Coors, I’ve managed labor and process in brewhouse, fermentation, finishing, and packaging operations, leading success through team development and data-driven solutions to uncover opportunities and solve inefficiencies. I’ve worked to develop annual budgets for our brewing operations, managing the financial impact of process changes, and led brand development, production scaling, capabilities projects across multiple areas of production. Currently, I’m a Control Software Engineer for ProLeiT, developers of the flagship Brewmaxx automation solution. Having driven success in my production roles through innovative software and data solutions, I’m now broadening my scope as an engineer in the Netherlands, creating global impact with a focus on Western Europe. With my production experience, I bring unique value to our clients by bridging the gap between process technologists and automation engineers, introducing novel solutions to overcome complex production challenges.
