About Sam Koay

I started my first sales career with a new start up branch office in Malaysia in 1998. With zero customer base, I managed to increase my monthly sales from 0 to RM800k within a short period of time. To add to my achievements were when I first started my sales career, I manage to sell our products to our direct competitor and ever since then, I was known to "Selling Ice To Eskimo". For the last 20 years, I have trained, groomed, coached and mentored many sales staffs and managers to become sales experts. Experienced in: • working with my team in strategising on how we can win deals and market share; • handling Channel Sales as well as direct sales (SMEs & MNCs); I believe in win-win situation and is good in negotiation, deal making & problem solving. I enjoy learning new skills and is generous in sharing knowledge with people. I am also known to be a people person and I connect well with people easily. I am well versed in several languages (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, Bahasa Indonesia and several Chinese dialects). On my personal end, I enjoy reading, travelling and connecting with new people. That aside, I also love outdoor activities such as hiking, running and cycling. I believe in giving back to the society and the younger generations and was actively involved in Toastmasters as a President, for several terms. One of my personal notable achievement was in 2016. I was invited by the World's No.1 Sales Guru, Mr. Tom Hopkins (USA) to speak at the National Achievers Congress (NAC), Singapore in front of delegates. I was honoured to be able to speak alongside with Mr. Tom Hopkins because this international conference only invites World Class Leaders to speak at their platform. Let's get connected.
