About Sam Koch
I study the cellular and molecular mechanisms of Crohn’s Disease. I utilize many experimental techniques both in vitro and in vivo. My ultimate goal is to discover therapeutic drug targets to develop novel therapies for graduated from Colorado State University Pueblo with a Master’s Degree in Biology. While in graduate school, I studied the defensive properties of secondary metabolites and their contribution to plant defense against insect predation. I utilized RNA-Sequencing to catalog differentially expressed genes in Manduca sexta. I also extensively studied the NMDA receptor, which plays an important role in learning and memory.
