ACCOMPLISHMENTS • Successfully turned around technology organization previously described by a Seattle Newspaper as a “Technology time bomb” • Recruited to transform a struggling technology organization that had three technology directors in the previous four years and had lost over half of its staff. Was able to successfully recruit and retain staff to develop a highly productive team. • Reorganized a key technology project resulting in a 50% reduction in cost to deliver. Received the Excellence in Project Management Award by the Mayor of Seattle for this effort. • Developed a business case that was successfully adopted that resulted in an increase in technology funding in a time of economic downturn. • Created one of the first Technology Project Management office in the City of Seattle. Due to the effectiveness of the technology office, its role was expanded to include all major business initiatives within the department. • Provided leadership for the creation of the City of Seattle’s Information Technology Investment Evaluation program, sponsored by the City’s Chief Technology Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Received Letter of Appreciation from the City’s Chief Technology Officer for efforts on the program. • Program Director for a plus desktop computer standardization project. Received Letter of Commendation from the City’s Chief Technology Officer for efforts on the program.
