About Sam Laprade

Over 30 years of work in the non-profit sector, public relations, media relations and municipal politics. After graduating from Algonquin College with a PR Diploma I was given an opportunity to work at CBC Radio and then at CBC Television. I was hooked! I coordinated telethons and events. Through various positions I have built a strong community network in the Ottawa area. Raising funds for important causes that save lives and change lives is the most rewarding part of my work. The hospital, the humane society and a homeless shelter are all important causes that I have worked for through the years. I was never a 'numbers person'. until I started to work with donor data analytics through Gryphon Fundraising. Combining both the art and the science of fundraising has changed the way that I work. It has made my work more efficient, more timely and I have raised more money! Through Gryphon Fundraising, the opportunity to work with non-profits all over the world is a career highlight! We are currently working with non-profits in Canada and the USA and in Australia! Looking for a partner to work with in the UK!
