Throughout my journey, I have actively engaged in the Undergraduate Nursing Student Association, where I have found opportunities to enhance my skills and contribute to the betterment of the nursing community. Alongside my studies, I have gained valuable experience as a Head Lifeguard and Head Instructor at various City of Ottawa facilities. My role involves ensuring the safety of swimmers and providing training and guidance to fellow lifeguards. As an Advanced Instructor for the Lifesaving Society, I take pride in teaching essential lifeguarding and water safety principles to candidates, empowering them to protect lives in aquatic environments. Holding various certifications in lifeguarding and first aid, I prioritize the well-being of others and am prepared to respond to emergencies with confidence. My fluency in English and proficiency in French, as well as my limited proficiency in sign language, allow me to connect with diverse individuals and ensure effective communication in various situations. Outside of academics and work, I find fulfillment in volunteer work, supporting seniors with care and companionship and providing private swim instruction to help others enjoy the water safely. I am passionate about making a positive impact in my community and the healthcare industry.
