About Sam Locke
I am an Ed.S. candidate in the School Psychology graduate program at Seattle University, with an expected graduation date of June 2026. I completed my practicum during the 2024-2025 school year with Everett Public Schools, where I am also interning full-time through the 2025-2026 school year. My prior work experiences are concentrated in educational policy, neuroaffirming behavioral healthcare, and educating neurodivergent, disabled, and other marginalized youth. I believe in breaking down barriers and elevating equity in educational spaces, so all youth can experience learning according to their own needs. My personal and professional passions lie in creating opportunities and expanding access to mental healthcare and education. My work with youth embraces diversity and intersectionality to directly address systemic limitations and barriers adversely impacting them. As an educator and youth mental health professional-in-training, this philosophy and approach carries through all aspects of my work and life.
