I graduated with an Upper Second Class Honours in BSc Economics from the University of Nottingham.One of the key highlights of my degree was my dissertation, titled "Investigating the Dual Effects of Global Food Price Trends and Climate Change on African Food Security," which earned a high 2:1 distinction. This research examined the financialization of commodity markets, focusing specifically on the correlation between rising wheat price volatility and increased speculation in international wheat markets.Studying Economics not only deepened my understanding of global market forces but also fueled my interest in the complex relationship between economics and politics. Two standout modules—Advanced Political Economy and Advanced Development Economics—greatly enriched my perspective on how political decisions and economic policies are inextricably linked, influencing everything from market trends to international trade and economic development.My hands-on experience in the agricultural sector further reinforced this understanding, where I witnessed first-hand how geopolitical crises on a global scale can profoundly impact the economic viability of domestic agriculture.I am now seeking a graduate position that will allow me to apply my interests in economics, politics, and global markets, while continuing to expand my knowledge in business, communications, and market analysis.
