About Sam Malik

Sam Malik, Managing Partner at Percipient is a senior management consultant to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. His career includes 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and in consulting. He brings a wide expertise base and deep perspective on some of the forces driving change in today’s healthcare marketplace. Sam was EVP of Managed Markets at inVentiv Advance Insights until 2011. In this position, he led the managed markets consulting team in advising a range of clients in diverse engagements. Prior to this he co-founded and led Strategyx, building a consulting group of the best and brightest professionals from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and management consulting industries. Strategyx grew into a leading healthcare strategy consulting company that was acquired by inVentiv Health in 2007. Before Strategyx, he had a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, holding senior positions in product marketing, market research account management, pricing and business development. He holds an MBA from Dartmouth College. Sam’s expertise includes healthcare policy, pharmaceutical marketing, pricing, business strategy1q and organizational design. He has been closely involved in developing launch and market entry strategies for new injectable biologics and rare therapies. He works closely with client stakeholders across functions including business development, marketing, sales and the executive suite.
