About Sam Malmaci

I work with talent management within the fields of design, marketing, tech, and art. As a talent specialist and manager, I have an artist management approach. By this, I mean I don’t just look to fill a specific role or assignment; I want to manage the best talents and teams in the industry and continually work long-term. I believe this is achieved by finding and nurturing professionals who not only have excellent workmanship and skills but, more importantly, share common values and by fostering a culture of curiosity, inclusion, and growth. In 2014, I founded the creative agency SPLIT Stockholm with two of my friends. Back then, we were just a tiny studio agency of 3 people. Today, we have 30 full-time employees and turn about 30M SEK in yearly revenue. By percentage, we are the most multicultural agency working with design and marketing in the Nordics. Since our start, we’ve won several design awards, became a Gasell company, and are still a fully independent agency. In my current role as Design Manager, I manage a team of 12 senior designers with the support of 2 design leads. I’ve been working within the creative fields and tech in different ways and consolations for as long as I can remember. I’ve been involved in all stages of creation, from the pre to the prod to the post and thus aquired a holistic understanding. Like many working in our fields, my interest first began as a creator. Having an analytical mind combined with the ability to think abstractly allowed me to understand where my skill sets and experiences could contribute the most. This pushed me to pursue management and operational roles. When I’m not working, I’m a proud father of two, a loyal husband, a collector of Japanese contemporary art, a music nerd, a gamer, and a newly found jiu-jitsu fanatic.
