About Sam Marks

Sam Marks is a dedicated real estate professional with a track record of over $20 million in career sales and more than 60 successful transactions since becoming licensed in 2020. Based in Richmond, Virginia, Sam works with Ruckart Real Estate, where he earned the Keller Williams Capper Award every year from 2021 through 2024. Sam’s career began early—long before his license—when he helped his parents navigate the buying and selling process at just 13 years old. His interest in real estate grew from there, eventually leading to a high school job with Ruckart Real Estate assisting with signs, lockboxes, and commissions. While initially pursuing political science at Brightpoint Community College, Sam transitioned into an inside sales role, gaining hands-on experience through cold calling, door knocking, and lead generation. When the pandemic hit, he took the opportunity to earn his real estate license and pursue the profession full-time. Known for his quick responsiveness and client-first approach, Sam takes pride in offering a more personalized and attentive experience than many in the industry. He views real estate not just as a career, but as a way to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives—whether that means negotiating a tough deal or finding the perfect home. Outside of real estate, Sam maintains a strong connection with his friends and family, and enjoys exploring restaurants, playing soccer, and watching Pittsburgh Steelers games. His interests also include travel, art, collecting vintage band tees and mid-century modern furniture. He and his team are committed to giving back through partnerships with local organizations such as the VCU’s Local Legends initiative. Looking ahead, Sam is focused on growing both personally and professionally. He is passionate about client service, strategic deal-making, and building a business rooted in trust and long-term relationships.
