I enjoy problem solving deeply. Growing up as a teenager in the mid I enjoyed tinkering with and learning technology and computers. The internet was really a great place to explore and discover so much. I have always had a mind and skill for more organization. I used to spend hours meticulously troubleshooting computer problems and helping others solve their problems. When I started working at a brewery in 2017 I quickly learned the antiquated POS system Digital Dining, but always wondered why the company did not use Square. The annoying problems that came up on Digital Dining were very frustrating and often interrupted the flow of service. I knew Square would be a far better choice so I was thrilled when the company switched to Square in December 2019. There obviously was a learning curve with the staff because many including myself had become comfortable with the Digital Dining system despite its faults. I was excited however because I knew Square would make things easier in the long run and I was excited to learn the things that made Square far simpler of a system to use. I also enjoyed showing my coworkers how to efficiently use the system. Working at Square is a job I feel I would greatly enjoy. I enjoy troubleshooting and problem solving and I enjoy working with people. I am very organization minded and feel I would be a valuable addition. My friend Sean works for Square and seems to enjoy it and be thriving there. Most recently I worked at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company as a bartender and server. Over the past four years I have been employed there I have been highly valued by coworkers and managers as a skilled, organizationally driven employee. My responsibilities have included overseeing shifts as assistant manager, maintaining and cleaning of the draft lines and organizing and running on and off site events. Working for Square I feel I would be able to meet many more wonderful people and spread my passion for problem solving to our customers to ensure they have a great experience.
